Robert Fechner, LCSW
Robert Fechner experienced the type of career shift similar to many of Vantage's clients. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania determined to make a go of it in the business world, he worked for several years in the buying offices at Lord and Taylor. This led to a one-year stint at an Internet start-up that stalled on entry, a frightening six-month limbo full of indecision and soul-searching, and his eventual entry into the field he knew he really wanted all along.
He graduated from NYU's Ehrenkranz School of Social Work, and worked for 5 years at a 9/11 Rescue and Recovery program, providing free trauma therapy to police, firefighters, and other rescue/recovery workers who provided services on 9/11. While there, he served as corporate therapist at the Red Cross 9/11 offices.
Robert has conjoined his personal and professional experiences in the corporate world with his psychotherapeutic experience to establish a deep understanding of the very specific cultural, political, and interpersonal challenges that confront corporate-minded individuals at all levels.
Robert has maintained a private practice in Montclair, NJ for the past 8 years, where he has worked extensively with a variety of professionals who both live and work in the NYC metro area.
